I have to say it felt strange having this guy sit on my finger. Their little legs sort of feel odd when they cling to your skin.
I spent the evening at "Capital X" - Which is Edmonton's yearly carnival/show/festival. What on earth was I thinking???! As a person that does not like big crowds in busy places, I'm not sure why I thought it would be a good idea! It made me feel very tense and agitated and I was more than happy when we spent some time in the relatively quiet and peaceful Butterfly Room.
I also took some pictures of the rides at night from the top of a ferris wheel, but they didn't turn out very good because of the movement.
Also enjoyed some carnival food, which although terribly unhealthy was pretty delicious. I dared my husband to eat a deep fried Mars Bar, but he declined...
It sounds very similar to our Los Angeles County Fair that happens here in September. Decadent artery clogging nightmares that are totally irresistible.
aww, this is lovely! i love those blue tones! i am SOOOO like you and do not like big crowds etc. haha. Yet another thing we have in commen. That is why i could not move to a big city....i dont think that would go over well for me. lol. I do enjoy seeing stuff like carnivals etc though....so i just suck it up and bare it and try to enjoy myself best i can :) I am glad you did the same :)!!
I"m amazed to see a butterfly on your finger. I guess those in the butterfly room are more used to being around people. I hardly ever see a blue butterfly. Nice capture.
Just beautiful Lauren - amazing blues. Glad you enjoyed this part of the event sounds fun away from the husstle and bustle of the rest, of the attractions
@deniseescovino thanks Denise. it was easy to get him there, i just put my finger in front of his legs and he climbed on and he didn't leave until i nudged him off! @vernabeth thanks Beth, i think they are very use to people because i've never seen butterfly's outside do this!
Oh, and I would be all over that deep fried Mars bar.
