The theme for today was "Black and White" and although this soup probably does not make for a very attractive picture I promise it tasted good.
It is very rare that I let my husband in the kitchen but he wanted to try a soup recipe that his grandmother use to always make and so he made dinner while I lounged on the couch reading magazines. The soup was made with beets (among other vegetables) and I was a little skeptical about eating pink/purple soup. But I really, really liked it.

Great pic! The soup lady at our market makes fantastic sweet-and-sour red cabbage soup, which is also purple and very tasty! I like the composition of your pic.
that is awesome that your husband made dinner. i think lots of men cook - mine does, but he makes a mess. but when he cleans, he does a better job than i do. very nice shot
@laurentye I have!!! haha, i figured that is what you were talking about! Years ago my best friends gramma made it for me bc i had never had before and she couldnt believe it. Once i seen it made, i was a lil hesitant to try it!! HAHAHAHA. but i did, and i really liked it too!!!!! I havent had it since...it has been so long!!!
Hi the shot is great like the detail & the composition in it. Pink & purple soup I'm not sure (sorry Husband) but I guess it sounds good from Laurens comments. BTW I love soup
