Okay, this is pretty terrible, but I couldn't resist showing off my stylish accessory that I get to wear for the day. At first glance, you may think "wow, is that a super snazzy looking ipod or something?"
But, nope. This is monitoring my heart activity for the day (until tomorrow morning). I'm certain there is absolutely nothing wrong with my heart, but my doctor wants me to wear this, as I continue to faint some days.
So here I am looking my best (haha):
- old sweatpants that are too tight
- ratty old shirt that barely covers my rapidly expanding baby bump
- cardiac monitor that although looks super cool, the nylon strap that is holding it feels super weird and uncomfortable.
Thanks everyone for the kind comments on Thomas's picture yesterday.
@peacerebel my dr is sure it's just the normal changes in pregnancy - increased blood production, combined with relaxed blood vessels, etc. so i'm not too worried, just frustrated!
@dune1953 thanks a bunch Doug! @tigervolleyball thanks! @kammy thanks Kammy! i'm certain it's nothing serious. my dr said it's fairly common during pregnancy - just something to be careful with
I'm sure it's just a precautionary measure. Prevention being always better than cure, that kind of thing. Also you get to wear a cool gadget for a day and pretend you have a ♥pod.
Hope everything is ok! My hubby had to wear one of those - of course - during the 24 he had to wear it his heart didn't do they symptoms he was exeriencing.
that is so terrible about the fainting thing!!! and i REALLY HOPE your results are good and that you guys can figure out why it keeps happening to you! i think this is a cute shot and i hope within time we get to see even more of your baby bump :D
Great shot of the monitor. Hope that all is o.k. I had to wear one once (not as cool looking as yours) and the "wires" just drove me crazy!! My heart beats too fast at times. But I turned out alright and really hope that you'll ace this test, Lauren. :)
@tigervolleyball thanks!
