17th May is Norway's national day and it is celebrated in a number of places in Shetland. No more so than Scalloway which has close ties with the Shetland Bus Operation between Shetland and Norway in the second world war.
We have a very close friend who lives in Norway. Today he is marching with the local brass band. I didn't realise that the day was recognised in Shetland. Great photo
