Swinister & Beyond

Looking down at the Swinister area of the village this morning with Hoswick and Levenwick bays in the distance and Sumburgh head at the furthest point. A very clear calm start to October.

The Swinister houses were originally built when the oil industry was booming with most of these being used by helicopter companies for their crews. A lot more houses nearby nowadays as well but all of wooden construction
Amazing how therecare so many little houses dotted about, reminds me of the Donegal coastline.

Love how the houses in the foreground mimic the shoreline in back. This photo creates such a satisfying feeling.

The glow in the sky, reflected on the water, looks really special. Beautiful land/seascape.
