No Plough Required

But gritting certainly was. The dog and I had to make sure we were well clear of the gritter on 4 occasions today on three different stretches of road.  Very cold so the roads were very icy even if the wind blew the snow off them as soon as it fell.

The gritters and their crews do a really good job here in Shetland and I think we are very lucky at how much they do.
Nice shot

Terrific cold capture! I have to show my ignorance of snow and ask what is a gritter?

Makes for a colourful addition to the capture.

@gilbertwood when the roads are icy the gritters cover them in a mixture of rock salt and sand - grit - to melt the ice.

Looks as cold where you are as it is hot where I am. Great photo.

Interesting perspective. Like the row of posts leading back on the left and the lovely soft blues of the sky.
