Community Centre

The Islesburgh Community Centre in Lerwick's King Harald Street dates back to 1902 when it was originally the Central School. It is a grand building which is heavily used by community groups and has its own café.

It still has the old stonework above the side doors and you can just make out where the girls and boys entrance was. Perish the thought that they would ever mix!!
A fabulous old building and shot

That looks a serious building, not much slacking at school in that place I bet!
