A lot of Puffins back at Sumburgh Head now and they seem to be getting to know each other after a winter away.
Without trying too hard this morning I have seen:
House Sparrow, Starling, Blackbird, Puffin, Razorbill, Guillemot, Fulmar, Greater Black-Backed Gull, Herring Gull, Curlew, Turnstone, Snipe, Oystercatcher, Twite (today's extra), Lapwing, Great Skua, Red Throated Diver, Mallard, Shelduck, Redshank, Swallow (earliest I've seen one here), Pipit (probably rock), Raven and Hooded Crow. Nothing too rare but a fine selection for a cold but sunny morning.
wow this is so beautiful, I absolutely adore puffins they are just so cute! What a blessing to live in a place where you can photograph them. I will definitely be following you because i really want to enjoy travelling to your part of the world through your photos.
So totally unique. Wow! You live in a very special part of the world.
Wonderful photos…
