From my experience as a tech-support guy:
1. Check display settings on monitor and computer
2. Check cable between computer and monitor (very often the culprit when you get wonky colours ;-)
3. Check video card in computer (difficult because you need an extra video card to install in computer)
4. Check monitor (hook it up to another computer with a different cable)
@helstor Thanks for that - tunred out to be much more simple. Somehow I must have hit a combination of keys on shutting down or starting up which changed the settings. Ctrl, Windows Key then C seemed to cure all which is a relief.
