Managed to get out between heavy rain showers. Ferry south to Aberdeen left Lerwick 8 hours early to avoid the gales forecast for later this evening but still due to get into Aberdeen at 7 tomorrow morning so passengers have to expect a 20 hour journey. Hopefully for their sake it will get into Aberdeen much earlier even if they can't get off until 7
