Best year for red clover for many a year with the rain earlier this week giving it another boost. Thankfully, in Shetland, many of the roadside verges don't get cut during the summer allowing displays like this to survive. Some of the contractors who have to cut where it is needed have been known to raise the blades where there is a particular fine grouping of flowers to be seen.
