Ring Out Them Bells

Last Tuesday in January should have meant the Lerwick Up Helly Aa but for the first time apart from the World Wars the ceremony has had to be cancelled. Such a shame for the 800+ taking part as it has probably been perfect weather for it today. Flat calm and blue sky again today but all we had to listen to was a 15 minute burst of Up Helly Aa related ringing of bells just before mid-day from the town hall.

Such a shame, I've been thinking of that. Is it just 'hard cheese' for the Jarl of this year gone by, or does he get another shot at it?

@jamibann No he's alright - it all just put back a year. The South Mainland event has been cancelled twice so the Jarl is having a long wait.
