And now for something completely different…

One does not see a baby grand piano repurposed as a garden fountain/art installation every day. It is a real piano that has been waterproofed and had a pump and a water reservoir added. Part of the experiment is to see how it decays, apparently. I thought it warranted a photo!
Love the title. That’s an understatement. How interesting that someone would even think of this.

Lovely idea!

Well, that is definitely something different! Maybe I should turn my piano into a fountain as it has so many keys that don't work that it is not so good at being a piano anymore.

I was going to say the same as Babs. A great find.

What a great find! If rather odd!

OK, well, it's creative, quirky and fun. A bit silly (of course it's going to decay- pianos aren't meant to have water running through them!), but also a great curiosity. It would certainly get people to stop by the garden. Good catch!

@gardencat It’s the homeowner’s project. He’s a retired interior designer with an artsy bent.

Somebody must have gotten tired of someone playing the piano. Maybe they played as bad as I do, so they repurposed it.
