My attempt to approach Nils Karlson’s style, per the challenge. As noted there: "Nils has a unique style, often using long exposures and pastel colors and motion and minimalism. " I was specifically looking at his Horizon Dissolved series, which I thought was cool, and impressionistic.
Not sure how effective I was, but it;s an effort. I wanted to retain enough detail to maintain the subject, though. Intentional camera movement, effects, all kinds of "good stuff"....
My big failure was using a square crop. I remembered that from the "portfolio" page, but the individual images within each portfolio are 4x5 crop. Mad at myself over that...
I like the blur from the ICM and what it's done to this scene having looked at the original, you've really used ICM well here (it's a lovely technique if used well, not so good otherwise) and produces a completely different mood to the scene.
This is lovely; the pastels at the top of the frame are so delicate; the shades of the fallen leaves and the suggestion of flowers are IMHO absolutely splendid. Huge fav.
