Cattle Egrets by ludwigsdiana

Cattle Egrets

trying to find a place for the night. As you can see they are killing the trees. The trees at the hotel had to be taken down, as they had died. These ones across and on the beach will soon have the same silent death.
Wow, so many. Looks like a scene from a Hitchcock movie.

That's a lot of egrets. Sad to read that the trees will soon no longer be.

Wow! That’s a lot of cattle egrets. How do they actually kill the trees?

Gosh what a lot. Is it their acid pooh that kills the trees ( like cormorants?) Are they very noisy?? A really interesting nature shot with them flying in

@susiemc @30pics4jackiesdiamond @rickster549 They rid the tree of leaves so that they can find twigs to make a nest to sit on. Obviously their pooh is the real killer. They screech, squabble and fight to get a resting spot for the nigh.

Back to the egrets. about the twigs and leaves. it does make sense. Nature is often so cruel.
