The pollinator

One or two of these are still around and I am still not sure what kind of wasp it is. These are plain black whereas the others have some colouring.
Given the tail, I’d say it’s a mud dauber wasp.

Somehow the stark blackness of him, makes him look quite unfriendly. Not 'cuddly' like a fluffy bumble bee.
