Rainstorm by maggiemae

Rainstorm

Poor Mr Man, our Nuts'n'Bolts man was swept out to sea! He was tossed and turned but something bumped into him! It wasn't a shark, thank goodness but an old empty Fijian canoe! Thankfully he levered himself awkwardly on to it and balanced precariously!

A powerful storm erupted in the night and lightening flashed, thunder rolled and Mr Man felt desperately lonely and helpless. Everything was wet - his shortwave radio, his cheese rolls he had put aside for lunch, even his pyjamas!

Travelling by the light of the moon, where will he end up? How will it end...........
Hope he has plenty of WD40 in his saddle bags to oil those rusty joints after that soaking!

I am so far behind that I have missed too many of this series and just went backwards. I LOVE them all. You are so incredibly creative. This of the illustrated books that you could write!

He's one lucky guy!! That's all I can say ... a Figian canoe to the rescue! Hope that he lands in some exotic place for some R&R.

Love the lightning in the background. I really thought he would fly off into the air somehow. I would have guessed that he got washed out to sea and that he would be rescued by a Figian canoe.

Perhaps you can make a book of these series. As a retired teacher, I naturally think of a children's book. However, adults also love this series.

Oh, I am so grateful that he found that Fijian canoe. I hope he is able to use the stars to help him find his way. Looking forward to what lies ahead for him.

I'm glad he didn't drown! I'd be so disappointed to have his story end. You are a clever duck Maggiemae!

I guess we will have to stay tuned to find out!!!! Another fun shot and wild adventure!!!!
August 14th, 2012
@wannabe I think Mr Man is tiring of all these adventures!
August 14th, 2012
@daisy Thanks Katherine - when the series ends, I might have time to think about a book!

I've had such fun looking through these photos (although I did start with this one originally and think ??!!) So I went way back and followed the adventures of Mr Man. I love the stories and your imagination to come up with each photo!
August 14th, 2012
I'm glad you did this @lauralatham ! I've had such fun making a story to fit a camera challenge!
August 14th, 2012
@kamb Pity there wasn't a gorgeous Fijian lady in it!

@psychographer I agree, Lisa! Feed it to the fishes!

Love how you did the lightening Maggie, great shot and story.
August 14th, 2012
He looks competent enough to ride off in to the sunset.
August 14th, 2012
The story continues! Love the lightening and the cheese roll! Great shot for the story.
August 14th, 2012
Our Mr Man is a very courageous person so nothing will happen with him up to the end of the story. Fine!
August 15th, 2012
Wow, you are quite the story teller, Maggie. Did you ever write a book? If not you should! Cool shot and glad Mr. Man survived the tsunami!
August 15th, 2012
He is certainly having a great adventure!!
August 15th, 2012
This is getting to be quite an entertaining story! Does he happen to be canoeing upon 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa'?
August 16th, 2012
Very resourceful of Mr Man and very creative of you. Can't wait to see what happens next.
August 18th, 2012
I'm reading the story backwards- thank goodness! This would have been a very troubling turn of events without knowing the ending!!
