Oh Deer! by maggiemae

Oh Deer!

Here they were, rumbling along the rough forest track and up over the hill. Coming down they saw what was in front of them! Some stags with magnificent antlers! Yolanda hung on tightly and Mr Man, our Nuts'n'Bolts man came to a stop. He had heard that deer can be dangerous especially with a full head of antlers! The deer seemed to be sniffing the air but not appearing agressive. However our intrepid two decided to back off and turned around to set the compass to a different heading!
Awesome

Wow, I would have turned around, too. The deer are beautiful. I've never seen a buck with such a big pair of antlers. Are they a special breed?

It seems that it was the deer who were huddling together for safety

@hankt Yes, they do that, Henry - perhaps Mr Man's motorbike was running rough and made a heap of noise!

Smart idea Mr. Man! You wouldn't want the lovely Yolanda to be poked by one of those racks!

@kamb I think Mr Man is going to have to buy Yolanda a double gin to recover!
September 9th, 2012
@kellc Hmm. Kelly... I think Mr Man is tiring of the wild country as he is continually thinking about Yolanda's happiness!
September 9th, 2012
Oh wow- great shot!
September 9th, 2012
@northy ... These antlers are often used as coat hangers! But not with the body attached!
September 9th, 2012
@carolinedreams Caroline..... This shooting business might not be good for our deer population!
