Wine Tasting

We were first in line here and they were keen to open the bottles. Most are NZ and are beautiful world class wines. The one I liked and bought was Villa Maria Dry Reisling. John likes the reds. I thunk I had nine shtastingsh and John four! (the servings were minute, of course)

I have had Villa Maria before Maggie - very nice and I like the light falling across the bottles! And I am a red drinker myself!

Lovely shot of the wine bottles. I don't drink wine, but I like the way some bottles look, they have great shapes.

I don't drink wine either - not because I don't like it but because it's a migraine trigger - I'm in love with the bottles and labels.

I love NZ Pinot's. They make good cold climate reds. Hope you had fun

Those pretty bottles look quite tempting!

I wish I still could drink wine but it dies a number on me! Such pretty bottles!
September 20th, 2012
@espyetta I actually don't drink much wine either - doesn't suit my tum! I'm more inclined towards a good scotch!

I sometimes wonder what they do with the left overs in the bottles they don't completely use up? Hummmmmmmmmmm maybe I should go work at a vineyard and help with the tastings!!!!!!!! cool shot. love the light thru the bottles also.

We always try & buy NZ wine in our supermarket because 1. they are delicious with a fresh clean taste & 2. because NZ is our sons home & our second so we try & support your country. I love to see all the rows of vines growing too !!! Must look out for these wines. Sounds like you had a very tasting time & went rolling home!

Lovely light reflecting from the bottles...sounds like a fun time

Ah I spot a Marlborough wine. My daughter worked for them in Blenheim last year.
September 20th, 2012
Lovely shot, maggiemae. I don't drink wine but like the bottles.

Lovely shot. I prefer dry white Riesling. You can see me drinking a glass on my profile photo. Cheers!

These bottles just ooze class, I can imagine how superb they all are! I'm a red wine fan too, but only in moderation of course! Lovely photo Maggie, the light is really good, also the focus, I find glass difficult to capture!
September 20th, 2012
Lovely composition! I'm with John in that I prefer reds but these look quite tempting.
September 20th, 2012
@jackie8 A glass of red wine is supposed to be healthy, Jackie! I usually find glass difficult too but this went well for some reason - it was in a dark place with light coming from the side.
September 20th, 2012
Oh so delicious Maggie :)
September 20th, 2012
@michelleyoung Thank you Michelle - some I liked and some I didn't!

I love NZ wine. I'm vaguely related to the family who owns Babbich winery. Probably spelled wrong. They make a nice chardonnay --
September 20th, 2012
@catwoman2 That is how it is spelt, Mary! NZ is getting known now for its Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir!
September 20th, 2012
Great photo of these bottles of wine, Maggiemae. My husband says he would like to try the Pinot. I am not a wine drinker due to meds I take.
September 21st, 2012
Nice composition, Gail & I both prefer the reds

Once in a blue moon when I have wine with a special meal I tend to like the blush wines. These look like they deserve the accolades you've given them- very elegant looking shot.
