The League of Victorian Imagineers arranged a picnic in our Gardens and we went along. Not many there but it was quality over quantity! A lovely place for a picnic and there was cucumber sandwiches, chocolate pies, cheeses and home made gin!! The picnic was followed by a treasure hunt for the South Pacific Tree Octopus. Clues written in verse took us around the various parts of the Gardens which were stunning at this time of year.
Love this "garden scene" and their hats!! It does have a Victorian feel to it....and the cheese sounds good to me right now. Another great comp on this one, Maggiemae. You really captured this one perfectly.
@karenann They are a delightful bunch of normal people with great imaginations and their costumes are a mixture of victorian and bits of machines and guages etc!
Maggie, you know I'm too weak to read about tasty things... Still I like your photo. I thought earlier that these kind of hats could be seen only in museums... I was wrong. It is a great idea to preserve national traditions!
