He sits high in the sky - the time when the sun set and the moon rose at the same time! Underneath this huge frame are swings. I tried for moon shots but couldn't get anything more than a bright light. Had forgotten about the low fstop which is needed.
Three good things:
1. The midwinter swim was on this morning and I got some lovely pictures but my hands were so cold - it was 5deg!
2.In the same place as this, while waiting for the moon to rise above the clouds, I saw a sleek black seal swiming around in the rolling sea.
3.We had a smoked salmon fillet for lunch - I had never cooked one before. It was given to us and came from up Central. Absolutely divine!
Beautiful silhouette maggiemae, he must not be a real man? That sky is so pretty with those yellow & orange stripes. No one seems to have got a photo of the extra large moon, all cloud here!

That's a silhouette with a difference, for sure! Lovely colours in the sky and I like the way the light's catching the lower half of the wheel and the frame.
@witchyjacq yes it is, Jacqui! There has been a lot going on in the Penny Farthing events based in Oamaru! It's a fabulous place to be for so many different types of events!
