It was Jazz Festival in Oamaru, NZ and various groups around the historic part of town were doing their thing! Including our Ukelele Group. But we were drowned out by another band who had full broadcast gear.
Three good things;
1. I love this sort of jazz.
2. We had lunch in an old pub and got them to change their modern music to a jazz selection.
3. Wonderful icecreams - 1/ hokey pokey and 2/ rum and raisin!
I actually was drawn to the architectural elements here, and that brought me to the musicians. Works really well, to me, as an image. Looks like a fun festival too!
@cdonohoue It is a deliciously creamy vanilla icecream that has crunchy lumps of honeycomb toffee swirled in it, Cathy! There was also 'wood smoked scotch whisky and "Lanes Emulsion"!
Hokey Pokey....aah so reminds me of NZ......I like jazz too but not next to me when I am playing a ukulele ! Pity you were a bit too near each other!
Looks an interesting building...lovely windows!
Love the way this is composed - jazz on one side and a wonderful view through those arched windows on the other - as for the Hokey Pokey ice-cream..... mmmm!
Brilliant! I love the reflections in the windows - somehow the jazz group seems almost incidental but it makes for such an interesting composition. I'll fav this when I can find my way back to the correct view setting - at the moment all the pics are shown in full screen which is lovely but I've lost the doo-dahs at the top of the screen.
I love the atmosphere in this image. And Oamaru is a beautiful place.
Your ice cream sounds delicious.
