Swing low, sweet Penny Farthing..

This is Oamaru's playground where this giant Penny Farthing stands and under its frame, various types of swings delight the children - and a few non-children too! I was down here at the Harbour trying for some night shots and learnt that using just Aperture doesn't work. My bright spots of light turned into commas.

Three good things:
1. Three German tourists didn't want to pay to see all the penguins come in and settled for just one stray one that they found.
2. A new song for our ukelele group went down well - Love Potion No 9!
3. Wonderful sunrise - lots of red but sunrises are a bit ho hum now!

This is a great night shot. The bright lights/commas in your other shots may have been due to camera shake - were you using a tripod?

@kwiksilver yes I did have a tripod but was using my aperture function with a set ISO and that didn't work! Still learning, Gillian!
