On our way up north we stopped for lunch and then my photo opportunity arrived in the form of three Morris Minors! The were also going north to some Classic Car Meet.
Our car is parked next to these three and is of quite a different nature!
Three Good things:
1. My club sandwich was nice but not as nice as John's corned beef melt!
2. Got all the way up to Christchurch in the rain where we are meeting a grandson who has a Graduation, without any delays!
3.I love Thai food!
They knew how to make them in those days.....little beauties ! We used to have one of those wood panelled ones in Old English White.
A graduation is a proud moment....where is your grandson maggiemae....Lincoln by any chance?
@happypat hr finished his degree last year at Chch university, Pat. He and his parents are down here in Chch with us to see him on the stage this afternoon!
nice capture. i'd love to drive one of the old ones but it probably doesn't have cruise control. i love thai food, too! especially the ones that use tamarind sauce. now i'm hungry!
They were great little cars in their day. The middle one is a very early model it has a split screen, smaller wheels and rear window. The traveller is in great condition.
What a great photo op! I love old cars! They are so nice to see! Very lucky for you that they parked where they did. I do like the difference between them and your modern car. Very nicely captured! :)
