These silvereyes were fluttering around the honey pot and I put my camera on to sports mode. The shots were all very grainy as a high ISO was used. I spent almost a whole day on trying to find an app that removed noise. Never succeeded - they were all ones who had to have photoshop or aperture or over $100!
So this one got a bit of dark treatment.
Three good things:
1. Decided I like the word 'Sod" - you know, 'sod off' and a sodding shame etc. Better than the ones more common.
2. Found a whole smoked chicken in the freezer - its about time its going to be lunch.
3 My hat was much admired.
One of my favourite words is sod off....a bit naughty but not offensive!
Love the way the little birds eye is rimmed with white...he seems to be just sitting in that tree watching you.
Smoked chicken is good.......I think I might delve in mine tomorrow!
Nice shot. It's so hard capturing birds in motion. I still have not mastered that technique! Even when I had a camera with a sports setting it didn't make a lick of difference! I have no clue how to catch them in flight - the ones I did get were purely accidental. This looks like a cute little bird. I've never seen one before! And I actually love the word "sod" too! I use it A LOT! I picked it up from the other half. He's a bad influence on me!
@anden Wikipaedia says, Anatoly: Sod in British English is a somewhat offensive, pejorative term for a person, derived from sodomite[1] but rarely nowadays used with this meaning. So you were right!
Actually I love the artsy feel to this. Great colors and bokeh. I will fav this one. The only way I know the word sod is that it's a synonym for lawn grass. Never heard it used any other way.....thanks for the cue. I always love new expressions!
