I couldn't let the day go without posting a picture of the first daffodils in our garden. Amazingly early! We are really in the middle of winter!
Three good things;
1.My 93 year old sister's condition is not as serious as first thought but still painful being a large kidney stone.
2. Sausage rolls for dinner (got to empty the freezer1)
3. The cat knows we are going away - she is hiding under the couch. ps..we didn't tell her!
Beautiful daffs, Maggiemae glad to hear your sisters condition is not as bad as you thought -- may she make a good recovery -- you mentioned dinner ,reminds me that I haven't had tea yet !! Poor cat !! animals are such wise things at times !
@beryl Thanks Beryl for your comments - yes poor cat - I get annoyed with her for doing that but your comment makes me realise she is unhappy - of course.
Lovely daffs - so bright and happy!! Good news about your sister hope she continues to make a good recovery. You made me laugh about your cat - she definitely knows you are going to leave her and is anxious!! Finlay is the same wheneve I get a bag out - he knows I am going somewhere and wont leave my side!!
The first thing I noticed in this photo wasn't the daffodils but the trampoline....who uses that....I have visions of you & John bouncing up & down on that you are an energetic pair!
I like you HDR shot.....it certainly brings out every detail of the flower....daffodils are such cheery flowers.glad about your sister but still a sorry to have that removed at her age.....hope they will be able to get rid of it without a big operation.
Good job your cat doesn't know how long you are going for!
Have a great holiday ....won't be in touch again before you go as I am away for the weekend. See you in September! X
@happypat I jump on the tramp - its good and relaxing exercise provided its after a visit to the ladies! I will be posting every day hopefully so will keep in touch! A very happy birthday for whenever it is - very close and I'm sure you will have a lovely time !
Lovely shot. I immediately liked three things about this: the processing, the unique framing and the painterly look. Good news about your sister, although I know how painful kidney stones can be. Our pets pick up so many things about us. I can tell that your cat will miss you and will be waiting for you to return home after your trip.
I agree with Daisy's comments @daisymiller as the processing caught my eye, the framing is terrific, and the daffodil scene works so well. Good news re your sister. Safe travels!
Such a beautiful shot and love your processing, Maggiemae. Glad to hear your sister is not as bad as thought to be. I passed a kidney stone in 2003, it was so painful. I hope that her Dr helps her with this and explodes it or gives her some strong medicine to tolerate it passing. How exciting to be getting so ready for your trip. Our cat watches as we take showers on a weekend morning as he knows this means we will be going out. They are never sure how long you will be gone and so very smart. I feel for your kitty and sure she will be taken good care of while you are gone. FAV
@darsphotos As my sister is not in serious trouble at the moment,it is still a worry as she is under Doctor's care and we can't have any say! She has a urinary infection, is allergic to morphine and is being given other medicines.
Our cat is the same .... watches.....! I'm missing her already!
Lovely daff's, lovely when the colour comes through to brighten winter up; I and commenting backwards, so didn't know your sister was poorly, good to know she is on the mend. Cats do have this sixth sense knowing when the vet or cat hotel is imminent
Gorgeous light, colour and processing , fav! Glad your sister is not too bad, but the health of anyone that age is a concern. Will your cat be boarded somewhere, or will someone come in to look after her? Either way, I hope she will have some human company while you are gone.
@tristansmum Our cat is boarded in a nice place but she doesn't like other cats too much so stays on the top shelf! Plenty of human interaction but I hope she is nice to them - she can be a little tiger!
