A Golfing we will Go...

Not me but them lot! Taken from a hill above the small 9 hole golf course which is surrounded by that large and neatly cut hedge.

Three good things;
1. Gorgeous day - all day! Mostly a wind gets up and clouds arrive by midday but I had the windows and doors open till 8pm!
2. The corn is up.
3. Flowers all round inside the house.
Wow what a contrast to here. So many lush greens!

A bit like what we saw in the paper recently @happypat, this reporter wrote about a weather vein! "i' before 'e' except after 'c' - not in this word, though!

@fueast Thanks Alison - yes North Otago has lots of trees and hedges whereas Central Otago has barren hills!

Nice shot Maggie... I took a shot similar view point of the beach yesterday but got a little more than I bargained on as discovered that it is the 'oh Natural beach'... delete... delete...

I am loving all that green. That is what I'm missing here in our dark, dreary days. Wonderful feel here.

Such great color!
December 28th, 2014
@chard They do it with great big tractor-like affairs here, Richard!
December 28th, 2014
Ah...how inviting is that!! Actually, what it reminded me of is that I have to make sure I get my golf clubs back from 'fire storage' before spring arrives! But it's a wonderful green scene.
December 28th, 2014
@taffy plenty of time, Taffy - glad that they are OK!
December 28th, 2014

Nice shot, Maggie. I wonder what they do if their ball goes over the hedge?
December 28th, 2014
@prttblues Good point! I guess there are a lot of white spots that have gone green in those hedges!
December 28th, 2014
@khawbecker All your talk about delicious drink one is not allowed to drink - ... does that mean I should not drink wine from now on?
December 28th, 2014
All those trees looks a challenging course
December 28th, 2014
Love those contrasting greens - a nice perspective. Are you still in central?
December 28th, 2014
@snaphappi No, Maggie - only there for a couple of days. This place is 5 minutes away from our home in Oamaru - by bike!

December 30th, 2014
beautiful shot. when partner's mother was still alive and we lived with her in her far house, i'd harvest the lily of the valley blooms and put it all over the house. the old lady enjoyed it a lot. every home should have at least a small vase of flowers.
