Beacon by maggiemae

Beacon

The bottlebrush is just starting to come out and is amongst a dark riot of other foliage. I've learnt its name is callistemon.

Three good things;
1. John got into the thick foliage elsewhere and clipped and clipped. Got to hire a trailer to get it all taken away.
2. Availability of water to sprinkle on to the lawn. No restrictions.
3. A delightful episode of "Some Mothers do ave Em"!
This certainly has that glow in the dark appeal and the this love them.

@happypat its actually in a corner under a tree and surrounded by climbing clematis. You can't go far in our garden, its really quite small. Bigger than the average town garden though.

Beautiful composition with that great pop of red. Do these plants really glow in the dark, or did you process the background?
