A lovely warm day with little wind encouraged us to go down to the harbour and have a coffee for morning tea. Coffee costs $4.25 to $4.50 now - frightful price. Think what you could buy for $9 a few years ago! British 4.60Pounds, US$7.30!
Three good things:
1. Lovely bike ride down to the Harbour and back.
2. Sat outside at 8.30pm and read.
3. A comet is in the sky somewhere but you have to wait until it is dark to see it!
Fave maggimae, I like the way the boats are the main subject & the water merges into the edges. That coffee does sound rather dear but everything is going up! Love the little red buoy bobbing about!
Instant Fav. love the high key note and the colours are superb. I guess our coffee or tea is quite reasonable compared to what I read on here. we're paying below two Canadian dollars for a large coffee or tea. specialty coffees are not that much more. with so many different types of coffee shops around the competition keep the prices reasonable.
Wonderful high key shot, and a great view!! Seriously, thought, I cannot believe coffee costs that much down there! I mean, sometimes a double cappuccino or latte can be close that, but not regular coffee....oh, well. I will have to keep that in mind when we visit NZ!
