A wee 100 year old cottage on the side of a rural airfield where a Tiger Moth (aircraft) was stored somewhere which we didn't see. It has been bravely restored but there are rotting windows, the wallpaper has left the station, and the stove top lost its cool - i.e. the thermostat didn't work!
Three good things:
1 An open fire and plenty of wood under those trees was warming and cosy when it was a cold drizzly day!
2. The food got burnt of course but as I had salad, there was something to put on the plate.
3. John took his hearing aids out and so was not annoyed but the intense chirping of birds in the ceiling! I just turned my music up!
What a quaint little cottage. Hopefully they can do more restoration on it. It looks like a nice place to gather thoughts - with the exception of the birds in the ceiling! Nice shots, Maggie.
What an interesting place to stay - (this is the same era as my house which started life as a farm workers cottage). Nice collage - I like the fact that it is framed too.
@jennywren Funny you saying that - at this time when we were staying here, it was on the news that a guy had been electrocuted while trying to cut the electric cord to a nearby caravan which was playing loud music till 4 am!
