An early photo when fog was about in the valley but there were lovely silver streaks on the sea beyond with the sun breaking through. The foreground was getting the sun too as well as the electricity lines giving them graceful curves. I just can't work out what the thin white line is at the bottom of the picture.
I also experimented sending this photo to my laptop through 'Airdrop'. Sending by email eliminates the exif settings. It worked!
Three good things;
1. So many friends out there, so many uplifting comments!
2. An email from the library saying the book I had ordered was ready for pick-up. Pat of @happypat had recommended it - The Paying Guests.
3.Glad we live in the south. A Category 4 cyclone is bearing down on NZ and will affect the north east of the country.
i think the thin white line at the bottom is a wire that's glistening in the light of the sun. i am astounded by the sharpness of the images in this photo i am considering buying this camera and do away with the heavy dslr! great shot!
@summerfield You might be right - this wire may not be evident at other times. And I think this camera is just wonderful - a steady hand or tripod and you get the best pictures!
I am amazed at the complex images in this photo maggiemae......so many different layers on top of each other..."almost as if you have completely different photos one on top of each other! Love it & a big fave! I read about the cyclone, hope it fizzles out over the sea before it hits NZ! Hope younenjoy The Paying Guests!
That is very sharp and beautiful..... I can't figure out that horizontal line in the foreground, either.... it should be blurry like the leaves if it was on that plane....hope it's not in your camera or lens!
an instant fav! I LOVE the perspective, the colors, the sharpness, the softness, the lines....great composition and very original.
You know sometimes I am bored because of the same type of photos I see/I do everywhere.... and suddenly this ! Very nice surprise, it really pops out !
@cocobella Thank you Corinne - I feel the same way but I don't want to discourage those who have put their 'all' into a photo. My zoom creates its own type of perspective!
@kelly2 I really wanted to get the silver strips in the sea out there but all the foreground seemed to be so up front too! Thanks Irene for you comments!
Fav! What an intriguing photo. This really caught my eye. Love how the colors merge into the foggy background. Glad you aren't affected by the cyclone!
I'm waiting for 'The Paying Guests' in my library.
