With my trusty electric bicycle, Ruby, I can zip down to the supermarket and load up!
There is also a heavy bag in the front basket. I have to carry my camera over my shoulder.
Three good things;
1. Even a whole pineapple and lots of other fruit got into the panniers
2. The heaviest articles are milk, yoghurt and wine - a great diet!
3. LIsteners' Request on the radio!
Wow do you wobble at all ....the balance must be quite fine at times.....those are amazingly deep panniers.....you could get lots of shopping in there! I like the wine bit! Don't fall off there would be wine all over the road! Loved to see this ...part of daily life at the other side of the world!
@happypat I have to be very careful - the weight in the front basket is the worst - can make me wobble a bit but thats OK - the cars all give me a wide berth!
So this is the super bike . Those big panniers look a bit precarious -- but I suppose you get used to them and know how to balance the contents for a safe drive home !
Great panniers. I could do with an electric bike for the hills near where I live in Cornwall but I don't know if I'd be that safe on one. You obviously ride it perfectly as there is not a scratch on it
A lovely picture of Ruby. I would get al my grocery shopping easily home on this bike, riding it is another matter. don't know if I could balance it properly anymore. my husband gave my bike away. he said I'm too old for riding a bike and he wants me safe. I do miss it,.
