Whoo hoo.. by maggiemae

Whoo hoo..

Oswald - on the left and Olivia- (snuggled up to Oswarld) - tumbled out of their nest and surveyed the territory by the dim light of the moon. Both of them are hungry but would rather eat steak and eggs than a tough and bony bit of old mouse!

Good on the black..

Three good things;
1.I had to keep a handle on this photo composition but did want to introduce these two wee owls which I couldn’t resist buying last year in New Plymouth!
2. Did some trampoline jumping and loosened up some stiff old bones!
3. Remembering what I did yesterday is good when I have to write up my diary!
Interesting composition, are they real little owls.

@ladymagpie No, just a cute couple of fluffy owls I couldn't resist buying, Heather!

They are cute and yes, the black brings out a lot more detail. Jumping on a trampoline would probably be more likely to shatter my bones than loosen then up, good for you.

Cute and fluffy.... I'm very impressed with the trampoline exercise!
January 16th, 2016
Oswald looks like he keeps getting into trouble and Olivia has to keep a close eye on him! Fun shot.

These wee owls are so cute. I like that you caught them looking down on you from their high up perch. Just were an owl should be. I knew owls were wise old birds & these two definitely are if they prefer a bit of bacon & egg instead of hairy mouse.
Trampolining sounds rather excessive......take care!

@happypat this shot took a bit of planning - I had a bowl that I covered with a black plastic bag and with a dark blue covered board at the back. Then put the two in this position. Trampolining is quite a gentle exercise if you just bounce up and down, Pat!

They looks so cute. Love how you've positioned them against the moon.
January 16th, 2016
Cute shot, presentation...#3 would be good to keep the memory sharp :)
January 16th, 2016
@seattlite You really have to think if you are writing it up the next day, Gloria! Short term memory!

On black makes it look like they are real! You have done a magnificent Job of capturing them!

Can't believe you were jumping on the trampoline! Every time I do a plank in my exercise class I think of you! Now I'm going to have to start jumping on the trampoline!
January 17th, 2016
@grammyn Well, Katy remember you have to have a trampoline to do this! Please do not try jumping on the public pavement!
January 17th, 2016
@maggiemae LOL! I promise!
January 17th, 2016
@cashew I think you have encouraged me to put Ollie and Ozzie into another shot! Maybe a crescent moon?

My heart felt happy when I imagined u jumping on a trampoline! Cream of carrot soup? I haven't heard of it before.have u heard of African peanut soup? Nice, I had curried rice and chix. Delish.
January 18th, 2016
@creativeaddict I'll have to investigate that soup! I love peanuts!
January 18th, 2016
Wonderful capture! They look so real.
January 18th, 2016
