On the high seas literally! Going through a huge storm and the boat is pounding over the waves. Rolling, shuddering, slamming - you name it! The spray is going higher than deck 8! Not at all pleasant. The only safe place is in bed. I got up to check some breaking sounds in the bathroom and got flung down the small hall and into the door! Fortunately only a few bruises.
Three good things:
1. Line Dance lesson again
2. A super concert of songs from 1940’s 50’s
3. The news that Japan has forbidden use of satellite connection within12 miles of its coast means very little space for the next 6 days. The good thing is -um - still thinking! At this moment its working!
@julzmaioro Just been told by the Captian that the wind is gale force at 50 knots and the seas are 6 metres! At least he is still on the bridge and hasn't been thrown off!
Glad there were only bruises with your encounter with the storm ! I am sure there would be some fancy steps and moves in your line dancing with the rough seas ! Hope things calm down pretty soon for you !
Oh my I don't like the sound of all that. Pleased you weren't hurt too much. I feel seasick just reading your description, that's what puts me off ever wanting to do a cruise. Hope it settles soon.
I'm sure, with practice, everyone will be lifting their left leg and slapping their knee with their right hand TOGETHER, that's if they can hitch their leg while standing on one leg in the first place!
The only time I experienced rough a rough sea was when I crossed the English Channel. all of my cruises where fairly calm. glad you didn't get hurt too much and hoping for calmer waters for you to enjoy the rest of your cruise.
