helicopters by maggiemae

helicopters

One of the five helicopters that landed here to make a presence for a funeral for a local pilot. He didn't die from a crash but from cancer and was only 56 years. He had had many dangerous retrievals including some in Antartica.

Three good things:
1. A huge number of people attended this - car parks were full!
2. Another lovely day in Paradise!
3. A media release is going out for my book launch - my talk is for August 31!
fabulous framing maggie and processing. sad story though

What a moving send off this pilot must have had, far too young to die. His family must be very sad. A book launch & a talk sounds exciting & scary all at the same time!

@happypat So many people to speak at this function! No room inside this huge building. Exciting and scary is right! The function lady is saying, "Its an honour to have this local author to speak" Good grief!

@maggiemae A long time to think about it.....pity it's not sooner & get it over with! You'll have to have a wee glass of something to relax you, not too much mind you!
