Through the caravan window! We stopped here beside the mighty Waitaki River to make some lunch and loved the warm temps and sun. But we had to go home - the cat was waiting.
Three good things:
1. Got out of the car to take a photo of the mountains and it was so quiet it was just remarkable.
2. The porridge exploded all over the microwave - sticky stuff that is so hard to clean up - but I did!
3. Used the little remote controlled tractor to position the caravan in its parking place. A neighbour had to come over and find out what the little noise was!
@happypat At home I put the power level on 2 (low) and allow 18 minutes and it never overflows! I may persevere with the caravan's microwave - or I may not!
Looks very peaceful. As for the exploding porridge, I would like to have seen a photo! I have just had my luxury, non-exploding porridge.. cooked with patience using 2:1 ratio of soya milk:water (and a liquid:oats ratio of 10:1 by weight), a little salt & cinnamon, half a banana, sliced, a small handful of raisins and a splash of soya cream! Delish!
@yrhenwr Yes, I think porridge has to be made with patience, David. We just love ours cooked just right with a bit of brown sugar on the top then some luxury fruit yoghurt - like boysnberry or rhubarb on top!
