Our last walk in this wooded Park and once again admiring the different species of trees. From all parts of the world!
Three good things:
1. The couple with the barking dog moved off to the relief of the lady with three cats!
2. Part of the Park was mown and looks so gorgeous.. The guy on the ride on started at 8am and was still going at 3pm!
3. Only 40 minutes and we were home.
Maggiemae, I've enjoyed browsing through your last week or so's photos and reading between the lines as to things are with you... good I think and that's one good big thing ;-)
Wonderful bench to sit and admire the world around you -- grand big trees in the scene so nice to have only a short drive home after what seems a relaxing time to unwind after a traumatic start to the year !
@happysnaps I think the nicest thing was after 7pm and watching the sun, the shadows and the other campers - particularly the youngsters racing off to the toilet in their pyjamas!
@barb_b Its a couple of km out of Waimate - thats Waimate South, Barb. The town itself is nothing spectacular but the Park here definitely is the Jewel in their Crown!
You have captured some great images from a not to well known place in NZ. It looks like it has been quite an idyllic spot to spend a few days. Thanks for sharing.
Missed your shot here last night, got distracted! John is enjoying the lovely trees from that perfectly placed seat. He is a very obliging model always! I expect if you asked him to run up a hill he wouldn't be too keen! I bet the woody trees is smell is beautiful!
@happypat You are right about the pine smell as you walk through the trees, Pat! I posted this a lot later than usual as I had guests that didn't leave till late in the morning!
