Onwards to another adventure. Through a bush clad gorge finding a truck had plunged down the cliff and half of it was lying on its side in the river! No sign of the driver. Down to the west to stop at NZ’s oldest hotel. Licensed in 1832 and built of solid kauri. Will post a shot.
This was across the quiet bay.
Three good things:
1. Seafood chowder by a real fire …it was cold and raining outside!
2. Learning about the old history of the area!
3. Got lost in the hills coming here but our GPS lady led us out on to the main road! Entirely her fault!
@casablanca it had red cones out by the cliff but no other signs! John thought his brakes had burnt out on the many downward curves! I didn’t want to think about it!
I love how this building is illuminated as if there were a spotlight on it to make it stand out so well. Great shot
I love this little church - it really stands out.
