Now on the far north of the West Coast in the South Island. I listen to the screech of the wekas at night and the dim sound of the roaring surf.
We are parked behind a country pub which welcomes our vehicles belonging to the NZMCA.
I wish I had got the moon clear - still a lot to learn.
Three good things:
1. A beautiful drive through narrow gorges, over one way bridges and silver birch forests.
2. The pub had a fire going with coal - lignite which is slow burning but does produce smoke. My lungs didn’t approve but I shut them up with a nightcap brandy!
3. Very poor cell coverage but hopefully not like this all the way to the wilder north!
if you really want a more focus moon, doing a composite is the thing. i'm pretty sure you have a moon shot somewhere in your archives. and i would've cloned out the satellite dish. :-D
@summerfield Thanks for your comments, Vikki - one of these days I am going to remember the settings for a clear moon without detracting the rest of the photo! I refuse to clone out my satellite dish - it might completely disappear for ever and I could never watch my favourite programmes!
Good thing you know how to shut those ones up when they start complaining about smoke! 8-)
