A Hair's Breadth by maggiemae

A Hair's Breadth

I found a single hair that had come out from the diminishing hair on my head.
Thought it would be a macro challenge for my two cameras to capture. The old one (cheaper) won the day!
I still can't get this camera to store the correct time!
Three Good Things:
1. Added linseed in our porridge and thought it was absolutely ghastly! As John remembers; if it tastes awful, its got to be good for you! Determinedly I ate it all up!
2. Some good moisture for the garden today.
3. Half time( at any time) means a beautiful vanilla ice cream in a crispy cone!
Interesting find and capture

The background looks rather lovely.

@fayefaye I found it on my clothing, Faye - I'll have none left at this rate!

Great job capturing it!

Very cool closeup! Ohhhh what in the world is linseed oil good for?!
April 30th, 2019
impressive clear shot of the hair. Whatever possessed you to use Linseed oil in your food?!
April 30th, 2019
@louannwarren Its crushed linseeds, Lou Ann and has numerous vitamins and minerals! But ugh!
April 30th, 2019
@grammyn Not the oil, Katy - but crushed seeds. Actually the jar I found it in didn't have a label so it might be some weird thing! We haven't suffered though!

@maggiemae I am such a dolt! I didn’t read that correctly at all. Thank you for clarifying. Good to know you haven’t suffered either!

That was quite an assignment you gave yourself- actually two. First the hair and then the seeds. I've never heard of eating linseeds. But I do have flax seeds every morning. They're mixed in my almond butter- but I hate it when they get caught in my teeth!

Interesting exercise with your hair, pity you're still battling with the camera though. To the best of my knowledge linseed and flax seed are the same thing. I put linseed into my muesli mix, but never tried it in porridge.

@olivetreeann as @golftragic says linseeds and flaxseeds are the same. Now I'm starting to worry that it is crushed linseed! I think I'll throw the whole lot out!

Interesting shot. If linseed tastes awful I would give up on it and find something tastier. Life is too short to waste time on nasty tasting food

nice macro photo

@onewing Quite right, Babs! Got to this age without linseed!

Amazing how many of us use Linseed, I too soak them overnight and eat it in my muesli with joghurt. Your single hair is hanging there like a necklace, love the background.

...put it back, no one will notice.

Love how is looks just suspended there..linseed.yuk...but do try bit flaxseed now and then on my porridge..now in Ireland they know how to do it...cream and whiskey! ..that's what we had in letterkenny..yum

Linseed? Oh my!! Can't eat that or flax. Makes my belly hurt! You are very brave.

That is brilliant macro Maggiemae.

A brilliant focus on your single stand of hair! I always admire your hair, it looks long & thick in the photos! I couldn’t eat anything with linseed on it...sounds disgusting but good on you!

@peterday I just need to find some hair glue, Peter!
April 30th, 2019
@brennieb I'm chucking that stuff out, Brennie - heaven knows where I'l chuck it - it might cause a plague!

@happypat So much comes out on the comb, Pat but I massage my head most days to encourage regrowth!
