Oysters..

You either love 'em or hate 'em. These are Bluff oysters and are '2nds' Not the biggest but still taste like oysters.
Best thing today:
seafood chowder at a renovated cafe downtown. Where did they get the money to renovate during lockdown? Ahh a Trust!

My mother loved oysters- and clams on the half shell- but although I like shrimp dipped in the red sauce, I've never been able to stomach any other uncooked seafood. Too squishy for my taste. This shot though could be on a menu and for oyster lovers, it would immediately make them want some!

All our cafes & shops have been freshening up by painting & doing up during lockdown.
I have never tasted an oyster...I think that top one looks like a face with green eyes screaming so might give it a miss thank you! I tried pippis while in NZ & liked them though.
