Installed! by maggiemae

Installed!

The final modules are in their correct place. The anemometer on top and a rain gauge (on the side). The direction and wind speed is on the top. No roosters turning around! John designed and had built the support which is on the top of our garage now.
Thankful for:
An ice cream in the evening after dinner! So yum but 'made in Australia"! Why can't NZ make something like this!
Well done to John for a great job.

A nice diary shot to document your new WeatherStation! Perhaps you and John should start a new business of ice cream making for NZ

Cool! How do you read the rain gauge up there?
January 30th, 2021
So cool! Now you can follow the weather even more cosely

what a talented hubby you have!

@marlboromaam Its all blue tooth enabled, Mags! We can read it on our computes and phones - even from a long way away, using Wifi!

@ludwigsdiana He is Diana - always been good at designing things - now he is learning how to design a meal!

@grammyn I'd rather eat them than make them, Katy.

Good job!

I was thinking exactly the same thing about reading the rain gauge....was thinking John wouldn’t want to be going anywhere near a ladder! He will love that equipment!
January 30th, 2021
@happypat He got a guy in to do the work, thank goodness, Pat. We both like sitting in our chairs and reading the current weather data!
January 30th, 2021
@maggiemae Can you empty the rain gauge each time?
January 30th, 2021
@happypat It empties itself. The rain is measured going through it. The only trouble might be birds perching on it and then posing down it!

@maggiemae Me too Maggiemae, me too

Great job.

Lee
Do you see the white halo around the installation! your processing has produced this. I don't wish to be negative to your shots, but I can't help but see it. Some times it needs to be pointed out, we all need guidance.

@gamelee I did see this Lee and realised it came from my app trying to 'sharpen'. I was interested to see how it did this and you have picked it out too! I do appreciate your candid remarks!

Makes for a strong, simple image -- nice design.

I want to know how you empty that rain gauge?! Men love all the tech-y gadgets around the house!
January 31st, 2021
@louannwarren The rain water just runs right through this module and it registers how much as it goes through, Lou Ann!
