Its my turn to host Book Club and didn't want to have so much on the table like the others do. So i just made mince pies ( meat ones) and will buy apple shortcake to put on a plate.

It looks beautiful thin short pastry….very tempting & I know I would rather have savoury than sweet. Sometimes if one person makes a big extravagant spread there is pressure on others to do the same…classy tasty food in just the right amount is spot on! Reading anything good?
