A new lily by maggiemae

A new lily

Planted this year, looking forward to the flowers. Its called "Bridal Showers' and is white.
Thankful for:
Wearing a beautiful gold bracelet which has NZAAA engraved on it and the year 1912. I believe it is my father's first wife who he married in 1913 in Dunedin. He was a champion walker but wouldn't be rewarded with a gold bracelet so it must have been his wife, Annie. It stands for New Zealand Amateur Athletics Assocl. I feel very privileged!
How lovely!

@dide I may never take it off, Dianne. I'm not sure when the flowers will develop - it says, last weeks of January!

What a treasure to have the bracelet as a connection to your family.

The light in this photo is magical. it looks like a spotlight on your new lily! It makes for a beautiful photo.

Lovely to wear the bracelet…the previous owner would be pleased to have it out on show. You have fairies at the bottom of your garden of course!

@grammyn The lilly buds themselves look as if they are lit from the inside, Katy.

@happypat There is nobody left in that part of the family now, Pat. I was left this bracelet by my half sister who died about 6 years ago. She was the daughter of my father's first marriage.
