Margaritas by maggiemae

Margaritas

Our Sunday choice for a cocktail - the salt is most important. It was cold - 6degC and the sun was filtering through the clouds with little warmth.
Thankful for:
Got all the leftovers in the fridge and made patties... adding a bit of flour and an egg!
Nice edit

One of my favourite cocktails, albeit without the salt. Love the way you processed this.

Yes please! I’ll take mine without the salt. The photo looks most inviting.

Your patties sound interesting also.

I know nothing about cocktails….I had my first one in March this year in Newcastle but I haven’t had one since! A nice treat for a Sunday!

@beryl It's actually lime, Beryl and it didn't slice properly but I didn't want to waste it - love lime!

@happypat A very simple cocktail, Pat is a champagne cocktail. Put a cube of sugar in the glass, add about 2oz brandy and fill with sparkling wine! So delicious but quite deadly!

@grammyn I think the salt is good to contrast with the oiliness of the tequila, Katy!

@maggiemae don't get me wrong I love it but since my heart lsurgery I try not to eat it

they are looking extra cool with your processing here. I'm another vote to remove the salt - Id have to go without the sugar too - all the latest health issues take care of removing all the tasty things. I'm hanging on to moderate amounts of alcohol as the remaining indulgence.

@helenhall I agree with all the comments about health - salt and sugar. But the bad effects happen if its every day! Once a month or even a fortnight is perfectly fine.
@grammyn .....

Yes- looks like you may have used the same processing spot that I did. I've only had this drink once and found it to be very tasty but I'm not much of a drinker so that was a while ago- a long while ago!!
