Timaru Port and seen from our hotel window, I do like when the horizon and the sky meet with no definition. This was taken through a window so quite pleased with the disregard of that on my camera. We were just above the roofs but not high - the hotel was only 3 floors - an old hotel but now beautifully and comfortably renovated. John got stuck in the elevator which had two doors - one a solid one and the internal one - a criss cross of steel collapsical that folds within itself. Reminded us of the tiny elevator in Paris. He had tried to open it before the elevator got grounded properly. He pushed the panic button and this hysterical sound belted out! A lady hurried to our help and told him to shut the outside door and the inside - go up to Floor one and come down again. It worked.
Good thing"
A really good dinner in their restaurant where we watched an old cricket match from the early 1990's!
A misty & grey day by the looks of it!
I’m always a bit wary of lifts & would hate to get stuck. It doesn’t stop me using them, but I do kind of hold my breath a bit!😂
It sounds as if John had an exciting adventure! Good that all turned out well for him because that could be a bit scary.
A scary moment for John in the elevator. Glad it ended well
