Mom's Pitcher by mamabec

Mom's Pitcher

Back in the 60s, (that would be the 1900s), my mom did ceramics. This is one of her pieces she gave to me after they moved to Oregon in 1995. It's a beautiful, creamy colored pitcher sitting in a large bowl. It's a wonderul memory and I treasure that I get to look at it every day.

Today is my MILs 89th birthday. My husband (her son) and I called her tonight and sang "Happy Birthday" to her. She is my other mom and I can't wait to see her for Christmas! Here is a photo of her I posted last month ... she is a beauty!

BTW: "They" say, "If you remember the 60s, you weren't there." Some on this site will get that ... the younger ones won't.
She MADE that?! I don't think I ever knew that! My goodness...I've always thought it was pretty but now I am just amazed! I love the sun flares in the shot!!

I don't remember...I was a newborn in the late 60's, but born during a historic time/place (Boston in 60's - lots of fun folk that I still treasure)!
Lovely picture Becky! LOVE the light sparkles around the vase...looks like fairy lights! See, I told you you'd get your 365:-)
