This was an older photo I turned into artwork for my latest cowgirl poem. For those who don't know, western poetry is about pure rhythm and true rhyme, tells a story and comes from the heart. I'm happy to admit that I had a little coaching a while back from an award winning western poet himself, Clark Crouch. He really helped me to better understand what "cowboy/cowgirl" poetry is all about. I hope you enjoy! It's my memories of my Little Bits that I had to give up a few months ago.
@laurentye Thank you, Lauren! Yes, I love cowboy art and poetry! Some day, I'd love to make to the Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, NV! They have camp cooking cookoffs, too! It just amazes me what the ol' camp cooks can do in a dutch oven!
Beautiful, maam. (Maggie Mae McCain!) Love the cadence and passion of your writing . . great verse in this poem. Don't stop! Keep writing and do go to Elko. Immerse yourself in this . . you're talented. :)
@karenann Oh my! Thank you ever so much for your kind words, Karen! Got to count those syllables in every line for the true rhythm. LOL! Some day, maybe I'll get to Elko. It's on my bucket list! =)
