Filtered through clouds and fog. Shot this early yesterday morning at my nearest neighbor's request. It is a color shot - believe it or not! Does anyone see anything unusual about the tree branches?
Beautiful lighting and silhouettes, Maggie. Gorgeous pov. Yes, I do believe that it's color . . this has happened to me too, many times. (Believe it or not, I shot 200 photos today and every single one of them is blurred! Am blown away to say the least!)
@karenann LOL! If we shot 200 pics and had 200 perfect pics, we'd have a different problem, wouldn't we? We'd have the stress of which one to choose from! At least, it makes us go back out there and try again. Since there are so many more journeys in life than destinations or arrivals... We should learn how to enjoy more of the journey instead of stressing out over the goal. I stress out over this yard work and look at how much more work I have to do vs. how much I have already done - just me and God! I stress out over keeping up here and I sure ain't super woman! I need reminding of these things and I think you do, too. We should quit being "goal" oriented gals and learn to appreciate "the getting there parts." =) A friend told me many years ago that I should learn how to "get into the zen of everything I do." Thank you for your very kind and lovely comments. Always appreciate your visit, Karen!
@tbats22 Thank you, Tiara! Appreciate your lovely comments!
@wenbow Such nice comments! Thank you, Wendy! Do you see a small cluster of leaves shaped like a cross with a distortion of the branch making it look like it's hanging on a leather strap?
I totally see the cross in the trees hanging down! Very cool! I love shooting in the fog - it makes it look dramatic, yet soft at the same time. LOVE!!
I see it now! You asked if we could see anything unusual about the branches...I was going to say they are missing their leaves! Ha! Anyway, love the simplicity of this and the sun in the background and the cross! Fav!
What a beautiful photo, Maggie. Words cannot describe it. I thought maybe there was a plane going upwards but there would be a white trail so it is obvious that the tree forms a small cross in it and beautifully. One of your best photos, Maggie. Fav
You are very good with words, Mags! Easy to see you have so many interested friends. I eventually saw the cross but I think it arrived during processing! A sweet focus!
There is a cross hanging on the tree branch! I spotted it right away, I guess the human eye is trained to spot familiar patterns and shapes. Very beautiful shot. I love the softness and the tones.
WOW Maggie, this is so lovely, very atmospheric and moody.
It's such a simple composition but it works ever so well
Hey you are also Miss 'Popular 365' too, you get lots and lots of comments on your pictures (well deserved I may add too), you seem to get a lot more now than when I remember when I was finishing my
365 year one.
Hope my comments don't get lost in the long thread
@phil_howcroft Your comments could never get lost, Phil! You stand out in a crowd, fella! Besides that, I would never forget my first batch of followers and friends. Believe me, I give many more comments than I get. But that's okay. Your comments are very thoughtful and kind, Phil. Always appreciate your visit, too!
Wow, what a great shot. It's interesting because you could've said this was a full moon shot and I would've believed you. I noticed the object in the tree straight away and thought it might be a hummingbird because I don't see it attached to anything. I hope taking photos has relieved you of some of your stress. :)
@beteljooz George your comments are so kind and thoughtful! Thank you! Oh, I hope I don't sound like I'm whining. I hate whiners. LOL! Taking pics has kept me busy. I say that as if I don't already have enough work around here to do. =) Appreciate your visit, guy!
what is the unusual part of the branches? do they have buds on them?!!!?? does that mean spring is coming real soon for you!
great shot btw!! the fog looks amazing!
@kdimagery There is a small cluster of leaves that look like a cross and the way the branches are around it, it looks like it's on a leather strand making it appear to be a necklace thrown up there. Thank you for the comments, Kd! Always appreciated.

@johns366 LOL! That's a nice thing to see. It's all natural though, it's sort of back in the woods. No left over Christmas ornaments back there.
@melissapike I didn't see it until I viewed it on my screen today. Interesting. Such kind and thoughtful comments, Melissa. Thank you very much!
