Every beach has a song - to my ears anyhow. This is a video of Myrtle's Song (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) and the "cowgirl poem" she inspired me to write the last time I was there in 2011. If the text moves too fast, try pausing it, then continue.
@sailingmusic What a nice thought, Myrna! You are so sweet! No, I haven't. They don't use this sort of video and I doubt they'd care for the poetry. Thank you so much! =) You made my night with the thought of it!
@groovygirlrn Thank you, Sheri! I really appreciate your kind comments and so happy you liked the poetry!
@princesicita You are so very sweet, Princess! Thank you for your wonderful comments! Always appreciate your visits!
@meisen325 Thank you for your kind and lovely comments, Monica! Most appreciated!
Maggie, words cannot extra how beautiful this is. Your poetry, the music, the soft sound of the waves in the background. All I can say is WOW! You are so talented & I hope you continue to write and make more of these inspirational movies. Another fav.
@cimes1 You are very kind and sweet, Carole! You made such wonderful and touching comments here. Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support, much more than you know! I think if I were really talented, I'd be employed. LOL! I will make more as time goes by, if I ever get my iMac back and restored with all its data. Oiy!
This is how I feel about the beach. I happen to vacation in Myrtle Beach when I can. I love the part about "Hard heartaches leave me now". That's exactly how the ocean feels to me. In a matter of minutes, the world seems a better place once I am on the beach!
Wow everything about this is beautiful and calming. The beach, the music, the words - all so lovely. As already said by others: you are a very talented lady!
So beautiful and soothing, Maggie. What a talent you have ... so creative and this music goes with the words beautifully. I would love to live near the beach ... what a great de-stressor.
@karenann LOL! I hear so many people say that until the first big hurricane hits and then they don't want to live there anymore! Thank you for you kind comments, gal! This one came easy. Writing cowboy poetry is harder for me than taking pics. I really have to be inspired by an event in my life to write one. I am mulling a couple over in my mind about pilots being cowboys of the air and about being jobless with little hope of finding a job. We'll see how it goes.
@marlboromaam YES! Love both topics! And they'd be perfect for cowboy poetry. Do it! I KNOW how hard it is to write ... my concentration in college was writing. It didn't come easy for me at all. I struggled and it happened only when inspired .. but you have it, Maggie. Go for it. :)
But it has such a nice feel. And the cowboy poet is right: only the author can interpret the verses as they were intended. And the particularities of your voice make the verses more particular and personal. It is not a shrill voice. It is very pleasing to listen to.
@monikozi You are so kind. I do have a voice version. I'll send you the link as soon as I'm able if you really want me to do so. I kept it private because I didn't anyone to mock me. LOL! =)
@marlboromaam Oh, that's something else!!! Superb. I am not very fond of the sound of the sea - in general. But this one, with that soft song and your soft voice, I would play at evening, when I go to bed. Lovely, Mags!
Lovely poem too :)
